以熱導池為檢測器的氣相色譜法分析氣體中一氧化碳和二氧化碳時只能檢測到較高的含量,對于氣體中μg級一氧化碳和二氧化碳的分析受熱導池檢測器檢測限的影響熱導池法不能滿足分析要求,而一氧化碳和二氧化碳在氫焰檢測器上又無響應,因此采用了甲烷轉(zhuǎn)化爐,將一氧化碳和二氧化碳加氫轉(zhuǎn)化成甲烷由氫焰檢測器來檢測。
傳統(tǒng)的甲烷轉(zhuǎn)化爐,體積較大,安裝復雜,除了甲烷轉(zhuǎn)化爐本身外還需配置色譜柱,既要連接氣路,電路,還要安裝色譜柱檢測器的連接,操作復雜,費時費力,儀器使用者根本無法獨立安裝。
